What is Gripcon®?

At Gripcon, we are proud to present our innovative product made from recycled plastic and cellulose fiber from sourced wood shavings in Sweden.

The material that is used by Gripcon has features very similar to concrete in terms of behavior at different temperatures and water resistance.

Embedding the strip in concrete provides a secure anchor that holds for all screw connections, even if the screws need to be loosened and tightened again.

How to use Gripcon®?

When planning your next precast concrete project, Gripcon can be used for example window frame fastening, trellis fastening, to wood panel fastening on concrete walls.

When designing the house frame, you can use the Tekla Warehouse design software, which includes Gripcon, to create a drawing that you give to your concrete factory.

The factory casts the Gripcon strip neatly into the concrete slab and delivers it ready directly to you. Once on site, you can screw whatever you want into the concrete slab.

Our journey began in 2012

Over a decade ago, I got the idea for an environmentally friendly embedment strip that would change the precast industry. The product idea was named Gripcon.

Gripcon received a patent and design protection in 2012, which was expanded to both EU and USA in 2015. The Swegrip trademark was registered to secure the company's unique position.

After extensive environmental studies with experts at KTH university, to find the right material and design, collaboration began with Polyplank for production and manufacturing in Sweden.
